Is Camp Mograph all-inclusive?
Yes! Your ticket includes lodging, meals, snacks, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), workshops, evening events, and all on-site activities. Once you arrive, you can focus on connecting, creating, and having fun—without worrying about extra costs.
What if me and my partner want to share a private cabin together? Do we BOTH need to purchase single rooms?
Only one person needs to initially purchase the room. The additional person can be added AFTER checkout. No need to panic! We will send you a link for your bunkmate to purchase a ticket at the "tent ticket" cost within 7 days of your purchase. Your private room purchase guarantees they will be able to purchase a ticket to stay with you.
How many tickets can I purchase at once?
Only 1 ticket at a time. This is due to the amount of vital camper information we have to gather during the checkout process. If you want to use a phone or another web browser to purchase two tickets at a time, we have no issue with that. The BEST option, however, is for every camper to purchase their own ticket.
I bought my ticket. Now what?
We'll be contacting campers with more information as the year goes on, including an additional camper information form that will help us with your accommodations. We know the checkout process can be hectic, so we saved some of the additional camper questions for later.
Are linens provided this year?
No, campers will need to bring their own pillow, blanket or sleeping bag, and towels.
Can I reserve a bunk spot in advance?
Bunk spots are assigned based on arrival, and cannot be reserved ahead of time.
Can I bring a tent and sleep in that instead?
Yes! We offer a designated area for tent camping. Just be sure to purchase a Tent Camping ticket to reserve your space.
Can I request a non-coed cabin?
Absolutely. During the ticket purchase process, you’ll be able to request a non-coed cabin in the form provided.
What happens on Arrival Day?
Camp opens at 12 PM on Thursday, September 11th. We’ll kick things off with dinner around 5 PM, followed by our first Fireside Chat and an evening of social mingling with drinks and late-night snacks.
Can I share a community cabin with a friend?
Yes, there's a spot on the camper form to list bunkmate requests. We’ll do our best to accommodate.
Will day passes be available if camp sells out?
Unfortunately, no. You must have a Tent or Community Cabin ticket to attend camp.
What’s the weather like that time of year?
September in Virginia Beach is usually warm and pleasant—perfect for outdoor fun. Early in the month, daytime highs average around 82°F (28°C), cooling to about 75°F (24°C) by mid-month. Evenings can be mild, with lows ranging from 70°F (21°C) to 62°F (17°C). Rain is possible, but less likely as the month goes on. We recommend packing layers, a light jacket, and a raincoat—just in case.
Are there vegetarian or vegan food options?
Yes. We accommodate dietary needs, so just let us know on your camper information form.
Will there be bugs or wild animals?
We are in a natural outdoor setting, so yes, expect some wildlife and insects. Bug spray is a good idea!
Will there be a shuttle from the airport?
Yes. We offer a handful of private shuttles. Travel time from the airport is ~90 minutes. Shuttles will run at three scheduled times on both Arrival and Departure days. Exact times will be specified at a later date.
Which airport should I fly into?
The closest major airport to Camp Mograph is Norfolk International Airport (ORF), located about 70 miles from camp. This is where we will offer shuttle service at specific times. Another option is Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF), approximately 80 miles away, however, we will NOT offer shuttle service from this location.
What should I pack?
We’ll send out a full packing list before the event, but essentials include clothes for all weather, comfortable shoes, toiletries, a flashlight or headlamp, bug spray, and anything you need for your own comfort (plus your linens/towels if you're in a cabin). Costumes or props are always welcome for themed nights and karaoke! Night #1 is typically called "Day-Onesie."
Do I need to bring any gear or a laptop?
Nope! Camp Mograph is intentionally unplugged. Our workshops are designed to be hands-on and analog, so no need to bring your laptop unless you want it for travel or personal use.
Is there Wi-Fi at camp?
Wi-Fi is extremely limited and only available in select areas. Don’t count on having a reliable connection. Camp Mograph is designed to be an unplugged experience, so we encourage everyone to disconnect, be present, and enjoy the break from screens.
What’s the alcohol policy?
Alcohol will be served responsibly in the evenings during designated times. We also offer a full range of creative non-alcoholic drinks so everyone can enjoy the vibe.
Is Camp Mograph 21+?
Yes. Due to the nature of the event (including alcohol), all attendees must be 21 or older.
What if I have accessibility needs or medical concerns?
We do our best to accommodate all attendees. If you have specific needs, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions, let us know on your camper info form or contact us directly—we’re happy to help make camp safe and welcoming for everyone.
Can I sponsor or volunteer at Camp Mograph?
We love working with sponsors and occasionally have volunteer opportunities. If you're interested, reach out to us via the contact form on the website.
